Looks like the host server may be under a denial of service attack. Plenty of that going around these days

Yes, they suffered some sort of attack. They're busy restoring. At the same time that hit them, my office had a blackout, which caused a bunch of servers to hiccup in spite of the UPS.

On the BROL Facebook page, Bryan posted that they are working on fixing the problems and that it will take a while. Posted 4 hrs ago.

I was actually on BROL when it happened. I suddenly got a screen filled with text written in strange looking characters.
What benefit would anybody possibly derive from attacking a site like BROL? It strikes me as the ultimate in non-offensive content.

This morning, the message is that it'll be mid-morning at least. It seems the "boffins" who are working on it wanted to get some sleep last night. What's with that, anyway??? 
The good news is, they found the 'bug' that's been taking down the site every 6 months or so, so hopefully it won't happen again.

The forum actually came back for a couple short periods yesterday. Error messages changed. 404, 502 and something like "server is experiencing extreme traffic."
