Why are young men overly represented in accidental death?

Hormonal Darwinism.

Pretty much the only part that wasn't on the nope-o-meter for me was the mid-ride pastry, espresso, and shot.

I was fine with most of it. Some of those trails look pretty sweet. However, I have a strong aversion to riding next to cliffs high enough to require a second breath to continue your screaming as you fall, especially when the margin for safe passage is measured in very small amounts of inches.

I agree wholeheartedly with you even for the person is riding downhill and steep trails for a very long time, the risk of breaking the spine or death in case of fall can be fatal. It is close ro extreme or kamikaze MTBiking

My GoPro from last week in Crested Butte. I'm 77 and I live at sea level, so I needed an e-bike to ride at 11,000 feet. But this is how I rode it.
