Meet the New Year, same as the old year...
I'm the first to call this new decade the decade of Gravel. My memories of the previous decade were to me the rise of the 29er mtb.
I started getting into cycling again around 2010ish, then bought my mtb in 2013ish? It was a 2011 Giant Talon, hydro disc brakes, 15mm thru axle, 9 speed SRAM x5. Slowly added a dropper post, nice tires, air shock, then 1x11. It's been my most versatile bike, but also shows how little I knew when I bought it second hand. Frames a size or two too big for me, but that just means I've doubled down on the XC attributes of it.

Merry New Year, y'all!
I just got back from a morning ride on my single speed. 50 degrees, overcast, slight breeze, just downright awesome. The streets were abandoned like I was pedaling through Zombieland.
I "sprinted" through a radar speed sign at an indicated 22 mph on 66 gear inches. I think the road was a bit downhill and that breeze was at my back, or the sign is reading wrong. Whatever the truth may be, today's ride was still fun.

This year New Year’s Day falls on a Wednesday, which is when I usually do the weekly kitty-litter-box changing. That is my New Year’s resolution. Out with the old poopy smelly kitty litter, in with the new!

BTW, I was at the gym last night on New Years eve and I had the whole place to myself. OK, there was one other guy there, but he was on the "StairMaster" so he doesn't count.
I haven't made any resolution for 2020 yet. But last year I wanted to get to single digit body fat. Unfortunately, I was too weak in my diet and didn't make it. 😔 But I was able to at least flatten my gut.

No, Krane, I’m still using an old vintage Shimano 105 manual kitty litter box. But I am happy to report that I have now fulfilled my New Year’s resolution! I can relax for the rest of the year.
