ugh, I see that you're not up to date. The Pinarello broke first, which then caused the crash. It was not the crash that cause the break.
And yes, that slow corner is the same as "just riding along"
this is not to say carbon bikes are all fragile. But when manufacturers pursue lightest-possible approach when using carbon, then yes bikes (roadie) become fragile, such as demonstrated in stage 8 TdF

A valiant attempt at a 'spontaneously assploding crabon' troll, but ultimately a fail.
"The Welshman [Geraint Thomas] went down at the base of the final climb of the day, 13 kilometres from the line. It was EF Education First's Michael Woods who hit the ground first, and a number of Ineos riders couldn't avoid the mini pile-up that ensued.
Thomas crashed head-first over the handlebars, landing on teammate Gianni Moscon's bike, leaving the Pinarello frame snapped in half while luckily avoiding any broken bones himself."
That's a report of Thomas' first-hand account. But of course, that won't matter here on teh Biek Forms.
Carry on

I think that's always been the case. It's just so much easier today to repeatedly broadcast a message (real or fake), so manipulating people has become more commonplace.

Did Moscon's bike just really snapped in half? He didn't hit anything on the road. That's a nice clean break I say.

And guaranteed Made in Italy.

And don’t tell me to slam that stem, that Nitto is already slammed.

Just checking.
It is OK if people don’t like CF bikes, they are not for everyone. But don’t use this incident to justify your dislike.
Peace out!

Yep after the bodies hit the deck the bikes were all rideable until a team car then drove over it. I don’t think any bike will survive that.
Haters will always hate no matter the justification.

sorry, can't think of many bikes that can survive being run over by a 4000lb car (1814kg for you metric folks).

I don't happen to be a CF bike fan but it's basically because I'm a recreational rider who can buy, say a CAAD 12, that will get me everything I can use for a significant discount over a CF bike. It's not because I think a CF bike is going to disintegrate in the middle of a ride.
