Check out this Wilier Triestina Cromovelato

Just posting this to share a very unique bike I saw today. I bought a Gitane frame (off CL) from a fella whom had an incredible collection. Many beautiful and rare bikes, but the stand-out was the Wilier Triestina Cromovelato.
I have never seen a bike that almost seems to be radiant; giving off its own light. And, no, it was not for sale.

They are are quite striking, more so in bright sunlight. Here's some from Eroica. This one even has air in the tires!

Saw this one at the lighthouse this past April.

And from last year's Eroica concours.

I love that copper Wilier finish. Drop dead gorgeous. Of course, it is pretty much the epitome of the "quick release Italian paint job."

At Eroica CA 2018, I saw two bikes out on the road that did my heart special amounts of good to see actually being used: A Confente and a Willier cromovalato. Chapeau to anyone who actually rides what most consider to be an untouchable museum piece.

A friend of mine has one. I agree, that's a stunning paint job.

I didn't buy a cambio corsa one last year. It took some doing not to buy it. Paint looked great, considering it is pushing 70-years-old.
