Thanks, I've not heard that phrase before either, and having just checked it seems that though a 'deuce and a quarter' could refer to anything with 225 in it, the 225 on the Buick is a nod to the length of the car in inches. I've never heard the length of a car being boasted about like a feature before, the higher the number the harder it is to park

And here's a classic French design I saw today in East London, a Citroen SM, stunning looking car, inside and out.

That is a new phrase for me too, and with "deuce coupe" being the only "deuce" car name that I grew up with. Thanks for the info.

Sometimes you just got to have it:

Classic Ferrari worth millions stolen on test drive

The suspect had expressed interest in buying a 1985 Ferrari 288 GTO, police in the German city of Düsseldorf say.

He turned up by taxi to the dealership and two hours later, on a test drive, it was time to swap drivers.

But when the seller stepped out of the car, the would-be buyer quickly hit the accelerator and vanished. The car was later found in a garage.

Replica James Bond cars to be produced ..

" Aston Martin is producing 28 replicas of the 1964 DB5 from the movie "Goldfinger."
The cars will be complete with smokescreens, a simulated oil slick delivery system and a $3.5 million price tag."

My father had a '56 Nash, black with a ghastly lime green top. I think there was a third color somewhere on it. Ugliest car I ever saw. Looked like this one except for the inverted color scheme.

It was the first car I ever drove and used it to pass my first (and only) driving license road test the day I turned 16 in 1963. Never got a chance to "road test" the reclining seat/twin bed.
