Let's figure out this frame's brand

I firstly tought it was a GT Psyclone but as it does not have the GT Logo back on the top tube and the part of the frame where the rear axle goes is different to GTs, i decided to post some photos. I parted it out because now i'm pretty sure it's not a Psyclone. I'll post some photos. When i adopted the frame it was blue paintes and 3x6 transmission plus rear wheel had black covers.

Fork and cranks are not original.

Before full blacking it.

The triple triangle/Hellenic frame design was also used on a number of Shogun and Nashbar frames in the late 1980s. Serial number?

Some more and better before pics might have been helpful. Whatever it is, it is a lowend model and likely not even a ChroMoly frame. What were the components you took off? Shimano SIS? or Z series?

It is a really heavy steel frame. Tell me what kind of pics and i'll take it and upload for you. Idk about components, they were so rusty i could not see anything. I needed to cut the fork to take it off...

I've seen what I think was a Murray or Huffy MTB with a triple triangle frame but it may have been another cheap brand, I don't recall now. I do remember being surprised when I came across it was on local CL a few years back. When I first saw the picture my GT alarm went off and then disappointment followed. Had they not priced it like it WAS a GT I might have bought it just for the novelty of it. I'll dig through my photos and see if I saved the picture of it.

Yep, 1st link looks like the one I saw, except it wasn't in that good of condition. The rear dropouts on the OP's bike look like the embossed dropouts on lower end Fujis but it's really hard to tell from the pictures. Did Fuji ever market a Triple Triangle frame? It also bears a lot of similarity to the Magna you posted the link for and the dropouts look the same but the cable guides instead of stops under the top tube tell me it's older.

So, it seems like we won't be knowing this frame brand or model. It's a 54cm frame, a bit small for me, so, now it's oficially abandoned and will be parted out.
