Just got myself a Fat Bike!

So, after contemplating it for the last few years, and having done some rides recently, I took the plunge and bought myself a 2016 Kona Wo from a LBS.

It was a winter rental, and well, we don't get a lot of snow in these parts, so it hasn't been used a whole lot.

Although there are better options (the LBS is renting Trek Farleys this year), I think it was pretty much a steal for the price I paid.

As soon as I get a chance, first things I'm doing to swap are the pedals (VSixty to some clipless) and the saddle (stock to either a Brooks C15 or B17)

You will have a blast. No snow down here but a fatbike is like a monster truck you can run over anything.

That bike looks like a beast! How much does it weigh? I was looking at some fat bikes this weekend and I gotta say, they do look interesting. Maybe I'll mount one next year after I get back into better cycling shape. Just getting back into it after way too long. Again, beautiful bike! You definitely scored!

I believe stock, it's 31lbs. Not sure if stock includes tubeless tires or not. If it doesn't, then it's a few pounds less (not including accessories).

Which, would only be about 4 more pounds than my gravel (Felt V85).

Weight isn't as big of an issue for me, on something like this, compared to something more of a road bike, since speed isn't a factor as much. This does well on hills (better than the gravel), and is great for long distances (just did a 112km / 70 miler on it)

Definitely recommend it. They're not cheap, but are a lot of fun. Can see myself using this a lot this summer

I love mine. I moved the rear wheel fully aft after one too many climbs that lifted the front wheel.

Wow that's a beast indeed. I too have a fat bike, love riding it on roads. We don't have snow here in India, however beach rides are fun

Nothing wrong with that spec....just ride it until you break something imo....

Still been riding it, and haven't been easy on it on the trails. Nothing has yet to break.

Had several punctures though, but thankfully the tires are tubeless.
