Very impressed with front rack of my new Orbea - Fits two 12 packs!
Recently bought the Orbea Katu as a general beach bike. Loved the big front basket for my dog and shopping. Really impressed when I could fit two 12-packs in the front basket!

That is impressive.
I really like the look of that front basket, does it come standard with the bike, or did you add it to your bike?
If you did buy the front basket as an add on to your bike, could you please provide details of where you bought the basket from and what it's name is.

The front basket comes with the bike. It's very rigid as it's bolted directly to the frame. The bike is currently at a closeout price of $399:

biking for two 12 packs is right up there with biking to yoga!
got a side view so we can see the rack & how it mounts?
& what is that funky War of the Worlds eyeball on a flex neck on the lower right side of the photo?

That's a nice bike! How's the weight? Any idea what it weighs?

Great to see. Big fan of baskets, they are always handy to have as there will be the need to carry things. I have taken a different approach for my basket setups, I have a front rack preference which is a rack time front rack and for the actual basket after looking around for a couple years I came across the yeti cooler inside basket that I mount on the rack. The yeti basket is only 3 inches high and I prefer the low profile design. Since discovering that basket I have found other brands of coolers that have different sizes and shapes and pretty much the same height of about 3".
On another note I keep a a old pedal strap on the bars and cinch it down when I stop somewhere. If the front wheel doesn't turn the forks tend to not turn either. A giant help to load or unload cargo and on the really cheap. You might already have one or a couple in your bike stuff.
