My commuter (2010 Madison) and the conversion (2004 GT Timberline) I use for the bike trailer and rainy days.

Painfully average.
Nice. Long torso or arms?

Torso. Stem might be a tad long. Got it cheap (VO on eBay). Need to try something shorter but it's comfortable.

went and ride some rocky ass single track in central tx yesterday and today...not the ideal bike for bombing down technical, rocky descents, but still a blast nonetheless!

Thanks, and probably 3-4 more paychecks, so like 6-8 weeks. I'm hoping I can save more to get it done faster since I'm done saving for my wedding anymore (32 days to The Day).
Funny thing is my finance is either taking me building it very very well, and either not asking questions she doesn't want to know the answer to--or she somehow hasn't noticed the bike sized box that's been living in our bedroom.

Thats probably an 80s Univega road frame. On both of my older bikes from the 70s I can fit full fenders with up to 35mm tires. You will probably need to look for an old rando/touring frame to fit 40mm tires with fenders, especially if you want 27/700c wheels. Most old frames will have clearances for larger tires though.
