you will always get a mix bag of trix when you ask gumwall or no...
For me, black frame and gumwall will almost always get a yes in my book. yes on the gumwall
If I may add a recommendation if you feel like taking an hour to make a nice difference in your front end.
*I've only done this with this stem. Do not use on carbon. It will melt the resin. Should be fine with aluminum stems. I knew that this ritchey stem had a black aluminum which is the reason I was confident to proceed.
Use "Jasco premium epoxy paint remover" on that stem. Take the stem off the bike and follow these steps.
1.Rubber gloves
2.Face mask
3.paint brush and small bowl. Pour remover into bowl
4.brush a layer over the entire stem and let it sit for 5-10 minutes.
5.Wipe off
6.Brush another layer over entire stem and let sit for 5-10 minutes
7.Wipe off
8.Repeat till All clear and logo is gone
9.Wipe down with Alcohol
Done and reinstall stem
You will be left with a clean matte black aluminium

My sentiments exactly.
That Roubaix needs to be red and yellow or something equally distracting. If that setup is what one needs to be comfortable, fine, but combined with that indecisive frame (overstuffed chain stays and bony seat stays), the plain blackness leaves us with just a homely, gawky looking assembly. Very sad. Sorry.

What!!!!**********?? Your opinion is so incorrect..... just kidding ... I keep going back and forth on whether I prefer the all black tire or the "transparent" sidewall but I gotta say the cottons ride sooooooooooo nice.

Are those upswept handlebars just for higher hand position to neutralize a slammed stem's low hand position?

It's funny because I was taking it seriously, I was thinking about some road shoes and I even tried a different bar angle and seatpost setback.those lasts was beneficial because it's more comfy with a setback !
