Best direct tire smart trainer
Im in the market for a smart trainer as I want to start doing the Swift thing. Really like to get one of the higher rated direct types but they are quite expensive. I have a friend who just got a Cyclops Magnus and so far, he is really liking it. Seems the Magnus and Wahoo Snap are two of the higher rated direct tire (if that is the correct term) models.
Love to hear some thoughts from owners, perhaps some out there have experience with both? Are there others that can be recommended? Thanks!

I have been using the Snap for a few months now and like it just fine. It is solidly built and it is very easy to use with Zwift. I have no complaints at all.

Read what dcrainmaker says. The decent ones are all roughly $600 and are very similar.
PS I did my research and chose the Wahoo KICKR Snap. I have no regrets (although the rear clamping force seems weaker now but it’s adequate).

Same here on the Snap. So far working great. Connects to anything and no dropped connections. Responds very nicely to Zwift, as well.

I have a Magnus. It came with a bad ratchet knob. Cyclops sent me a new one free of charge the day I called. Can't complain about service and support. As for accuracy, it is backed by Power Tap so it's dead on as best as I can tell. Wattage off the trainer displayed in Rouvy is with in a few watts of what my Riken is sending to my 910. No drift at all.
