How old is Vintage, and where the bar for Classic?

I love this bike, and not because it was free... all original including the air in the Semperit tubes and tires but it cruises the 'hood in style. For the classic bike community, I would compare it to a barn find 1966 poppy red Mustang ragtop, with 3 speed trans.
Long live Sears!

Sigh... there may not be a Ward's in any future acquisition but if there's anything like my 1966 Sears (Steyr of Austria), I'll ride it.

Matching fenders, the use of a consistent white trim, and that sexy speedometer all contribute to making it a classic. Hard not to like it!
Plus.. the 3 speed "racer" was my first exposure to a bike faster than the usual kids bike. It definitely has a place in my heart.
and in defense of my chunky Montgomery Wards 10 speed, it was very tolerant of the usual mistakes made by a kid with his first derailleur bike. That steel Shimano Eagle derailleur was tough! The steel rims and crappy Cherry centerpull brakes did motivate me to move on to something a bit more advanced, though.

I think it was unkind to chase @wphamilton away. And pointless.

He didn't provide any digital images.
Didn't ask for visual examples of 'old' bikes for comparison.
a serious flaw, if not flagrant violation!

Thanks, I'll get some pics up so I don't just kick up a fuss then slope off into the sunset.
I don't spend enough time in the road forum compared to this one, but from what I've seen there if your bike isn't five minutes old it's obsolete and your exploding bike will cause great distress. I just get the feeling an 8/9/10 speed 'rule bending' thread might be appreciated?

And pictures are NOT a rule, they are your want.
Bicycles are about freedom, not regimentation.
Fun is fun, but when someone reasonable gets disgusted and dismisses the group, we have gone too far.

You could probably start dumping all these type of threads here like they do on the 'Helmet' thread. You look at Kent's GMC model and it is pretty much a cheaper made version of Giant's OCR...What's that tell you?

When a person starts a total troll thread, then pops up repeatedly to defend a position that has no value (10yo bike as Vintage, BSO sold at toy stores as Classic) = they have gone too far. Then feigns being marginalized, for sympathy = they deserve informed rebuttal.
Fact = 10yo GMC Denali is not vintage or classic by ANY standard.
Facts matter.

Time to close this thread. It might have had potential starting but the last couple pages didn’t add anything.
