SRM Dura Ace Crankarms 170mm
Does anyone have 170 mm Dura Ace 7800 SRM arms sitting around that they might be possibly looking to rid themselves of?

Think the arms on the SRMs are also a little different from the standard DA crank arms, right? So asking for the SRM arms may be even more of a wild goose chase...did you try to ask SRM? I think the new SRMs even the 9000 use the same arms as the 7900 and 7800...or I may be totally wrong and just talking nonsense...

I was looking for some replacement 7900 SRM arms and they weren't easy to find or inexpensive. I'd consider living with the 172s or waiting for a deal on 170s. I just sold a used 170mm 7900 SRM for 650 so there are decent deals out there.

Oh, I see. Well, I usually ride 170 as well, but I do have one bike that is 172.5, and I have to say that I really don't notice any difference when I ride it. One option for you would be to just try it and if it doesn't work for you for some reason you can probably resell it for the same or even more than you bought for (but only if your username is Alias350 perhaps?)
