Awesome basket and bike seat on a Royal mail bike!

Nice old school Schwalbe marathon plus tyres.

Nice sticker on the rear mudguard (VALE of GLAM)!

Please note the LACK of drop bars in the bike rack

Also noted that the featured beauty is the only bicycle shown that has two full fenders, or a saddle that looks appropriate and/or comfortable for commuting or other relatively short distance, non competitive cycling.

Hmm, that's getting pretty close to TMI there, but keeping my focus on the bike... it looks like the head light bracket was welded to the fork? And the tail light bracket too? That can't have been done recently, it's been decades since anyone made lights to fit those.

Yup, it's a serious bike, with drum brakes and steel fenders.

Picked up a used Bugaboo Cameleon 3 and it's stellar for the price and can easily handle 5 miles/day walking.

It's also great for off-road walking in the forest.

@acidfast7 I thought of you this morning as I decided to use my new bike for my commute to work - in an attempt to get the brakes bedded in prior to heading out on the trails. Honestly, the 9 degree sweep was not uncomfortable for my short commute, but I did miss my drop bars and riding on the hoods. I am seriously thinking about putting Jones Loop H-Bars on this to get my wrists in a more natural position. Time will tell.

I commute a few 1000 kms in Frankfurt on a hardtail MTB and it wasn't uncomfortable at all. Also, was very nice in the winter when ice was about.

Oh, man. We had a hand-me-down Chameleon and managed to wear out the front wheels and bearings. I had to replace them with skateboard bearings. You'll be putting up a kid seat on your bike in no time (or using a trailer, if you're a trailer person).

edit: one heck of a tree. Those front wheels on the stroller can be replaced with 'off-road' wheels but they don't turn so I decided against it. Had I have to buy my own, I would've opted for the version with larger wheels.
