Some colonel! Figured he'd know how to wash his hands. Must have been a field promotion.

...the good part starts in at 4:20. Which is oddly appropriate, I think.
We are gonna cure people with ultraviolet light if it kills them. Eff you Phil Rucker, liberal elite media hack for the Washington Post. :

It genuinely frightens me that this level of ignorance and ... let's call it what it is ... utter quackery, is tolerated. If this isn't 25th Amendment material, I can't imagine what would be.

Kenneth Copeland is TV's most repulsive & arrogant "Christian" preacher but remember, these guys are paid (like Trump) to be buffoons, confuse people & discredit alt viewpoints. Just like Pat Robertson who claimed HIV escaped from a UN germ lab in Africa. Robertson's was from a rich connected family & had an unlikely conversion after Navy & Yale Law. Intel sponsorship explains his overnight success as a TV preacher despite his wooden style.

Look at Trump's weird advocacy of hydroxychloroquine. The drug was virtually untested vs COVID but Trump frequently praised it as a possible miracle drug. I don't support Trump but I also don't buy the view that he's a moron...not the most intellectual guy around but in interviews & debates he's pretty coherent & well-prepared. Trump knows democracy & politics is a joke, his job is to entertain with sideshow nonsense while ensuring the Wall St agenda goes thru unimpeded. MSM (like Br'er Rabbit) claim they hate Trump but wow, they gave him 24/7 coverage during the campaign.

I'm not bothering with your usual tinfoil hat stuff, but that "pretty coherent & well -prepared" thing is one of the funniest assertions I've ever read.

If we define capacity in terms of population norms—and what else do we have?—he’s fine, unfortunately.

When he starts talking about internal consumption of disinfectants, he even slips well below the average competence of the general population.

Not going to defend the intelligence of your leader but I do recall reading the diary of my wife's deceased grandmother a few years ago and she recounted douching with lysol as a form of birth control. Trump's not the first to consider lysol for internal 'cleansing'...

Although he is not the only influential person advocating this kind of quackery.

Please Do Not Bathe In Clorox Like Cristina Cuomo Has Been DoingIn a post on her Goop-like wellness blog Purist, Cuomo shared a laundry list of holistic methods she is using to tackle the coronavirus, including a “body charger” borrowed from a friend that sends electrical frequencies through the body, a vitamin drip done by a doctor who makes house calls to the Hamptons and what appears to be billions of milligrams of vitamins.

Yet one method rang decidedly unnatural: bathing in Clorox.

“Both days, I added 1/2 cup of Clorox to my bathwater to combat the radiation and metals in my system and oxygenate it,” she wrote of her routine.
A doctor of infectious diseases in New York state who asked not to be named for this story said he didn’t even really know what to say about what he called “not mainstream or evidence-based medicine,” but explained that while bleach is an effective tool for decontaminating surfaces like, say, a bathtub, it is not advised to bathe with, and in fact could cause more harm than good.

What I find funny - he keeps promoting ways for his followers to do themselves in. Protests with packed crowds. Drinking this stuff. What's not so funny is that people will do it.
