Crankset for my wife's Rohloff

My wife's touring bike is currently setup with her old triple minus 2 rings. It works great and the chain line is perfect. But she would like a chainguard because of her pronation of her ankle. I have a SKS unit but it won't work because of the "excess" part of the spider.
So I am looking for suggestions on a single Hollowtech II. I use a 8 speed chain.
I see some on eBay,US ISF brand, but not sure about off brands.
Also it has a 36t ring.
Thanks!

Which ring position on the spider are you currently using? If it's not the outer one then a larger ring with it's teeth removed makes a nice guard. This is a classic cycle cross set up and what the 1970's Raleigh Gran Sports came stock with (using the Stronglight cranks of that era). We use to remove the guard, juggle the rings about and add a granny to make a low cost triple.

At work we no longer offer the SKS guard as we found it to be pretty problematic in both mounting nicely and use. It tends to easily get moved about and rub. That and the interference with good ft der positioning sometimes made us drop them. Andy

It is on the middle position. But I don't think a chainguard ring would solve her problem. She is able to rub the chain behind that area!
I have been using wax lube but this last tour I ran out and could not find any in the bike shops we stopped at in Europe.

Is it the clothing that rubs or her skin? Andy

No, she runs her inside of her calf on the chain.

This is similar to the Herbie Chain Glider. But I would think that this one is quite noisy.

I was trying to figure out whether a ring guard would reduce the contact with her leg or if a full length chain guard is the better solution. Either way the bike industry isn't real good at either being a slick aftermarket install. Andy

Thanks Andy.
I could go with a Herbie Chain Glider but it would not allow me to keep an eye on the chain to see when it needs additional tensioning.
