Bike Rental? ; Philly Univ City Area - Off Logan Square

Yep, another Dad attending graduation. Looking for non-embarassing bike and helmet to explore Univ City and surrounding areas. Is there a decent rental place nearby Logan Square? Thanks.

A few years ago I stopped in at a bike shop on either Chestnut or Sansom below 21st and they would rent bikes. Also on the weekends in the summer there were bikes to rent at Lloyd Hall from a bike shop. So it can be done.

Got a turn-down calling Trophy Bikes, they've stopped renting and they think there is no one else renting in the area. Help: anywhere around Logan Circle, uPenn?

I don't know how close it is, but there was a place by Lloyd Hall on Kelly Drive (behind the art museum) that rents bikes. I haven't been paying attention lately, so I'm not sure if they are still there.

Breakaway bikes does the rentals behind the museum. They also happen to be the bike shop mentioned above on the 1900 block Chestnut street.

Bike Line at 1028 Arch St. A bit of a walk but a cinch to get to Logan Square from by bike. I bought my bike there and they are a bunch of really good guys. Look for Big Steve (tall very cool black guy) or Bob Prince. He is the mgr. Plus you can stop for some good chinese food in Chinatown or a great lunch at Reading Terminal Market down the street.

Cheers,

Brian J.
