Beautiful VA afternoon ride. Amazing how quickly you lose conditioning that you gain from mountain riding. I’m sure I’ll be a bit sore tomorrow......

Think nothing of it....we need you and your enthusiasm in this group! My recovery from a broken pelvis was much quicker due to my conditioning prior to my fall. And I’m 100% recovered😊.....

I count every mile I’m on a bike .
I’ve thought about splitting up my daily ride into a morning and an evening ride .

Over 8200 miles! And there will be several updates, no doubt. Well done, everybody. That's a lot of miles!

Raised my bar another 100 miles and blew it away. I wanted a do-over of last Thursday's ride since today's my birthday, so I planned a new route, up the coast this time, with fewer hills, though it still worked out to 2,781 feet of climbing. Went up to Ventura where we used to live, took pictures of the houses we lived in, the college I went to, etc., and finished at the train station where I missed the last train home last week, this time with plenty of time to spare. Time enough for lunch and a beverage or two at the pub across the street. Just boarded and I'm the only one in the bike car. Life is good.

Well, that was a fun month......a few more miles than expected.

I for one will welcome a cool down, like many of in the south. aAugust was a brutal weather month, between the crushing humidity, the unbearable heat, and of course, the pop up thunderstorms.

Fall is my best riding season. The sights, sounds, smells, the feeling of being at one with nature while on a bicycle.

And to boot, my new Domane will be here in less than two weeks.
