Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Rounding. I actually did 89.6 miles btw. One of the riders did some extra at the end for a full century.

I have decided that at this stage in my riding, the ideal length of a ride is 50-70 miles. So it's likely my future centuries are going to be metric.

They should build a reverse flickstand into that thing!
A linear pull brake with internal cable routing? No problem.

I believe 120-126 miles is the optimal ride distance, on the single speed at least. I have insufficient data at this juncture to exactly specify geared optimums.

Don't forget that the customer is in a huge rush to get the cable replaced for the ride today.

427 miles so far this month. I only ride one weekend day, and Wednesday. Still two more ride days left in this month. looks like 500 will be easy. I used to ride a lot more, BB (before Bailey).

Some left outside all year, some bought on ebay, etc. etc. ..... You probably understand.

33 1/3 miles is my optimal ride distance. I still like to ride too much on occasion, though.

Got out for 41 miles. My doc said that I could ride if my arm didn't hurt and it didn't except on bumpy patches and railroad tracks. Luckily our roads are pretty smooth and I managed to avoid all but two sets of tracks.

Did find out that I have a slight chest cold.
