Rounding. I actually did 89.6 miles btw. One of the riders did some extra at the end for a full century.
I have decided that at this stage in my riding, the ideal length of a ride is 50-70 miles. So it's likely my future centuries are going to be metric.

I believe 120-126 miles is the optimal ride distance, on the single speed at least. I have insufficient data at this juncture to exactly specify geared optimums.

427 miles so far this month. I only ride one weekend day, and Wednesday. Still two more ride days left in this month. looks like 500 will be easy. I used to ride a lot more, BB (before Bailey).

Two towns over from me is a huge 4th of July parade and celebration. I think the longest consecutive parade in the USA without missing a year. The whole state, and more, go there. The best way of course is by bike. I can leave late and get there early on the bike. As it gets to a day or two before the parade, tons people come in the LBS with bikes and say "It worked great last year at the parade, i did not use it since then, can you fix it in time for the parade?" Some left outside all year, some bought on ebay, etc. etc. ..... You probably understand.

Got out for 41 miles. My doc said that I could ride if my arm didn't hurt and it didn't except on bumpy patches and railroad tracks. Luckily our roads are pretty smooth and I managed to avoid all but two sets of tracks.
Did find out that I have a slight chest cold.
