75% sure this is a Loomis Light Weight from Boston circa 1913? The BB Shell is from Peter Forge of Somerville who is still in business, still making Bike parts!

Agreed.

I've definitely got a Hampsten on a must own list.

I would have it built exactly the same as this one.

That's exceptional. What's the crank? Is that Centaur from when Centaur was a mountain group?

I was on the hunt for a long time trying to find one for my 1985 Merckx CE, that I might run compact gearing on a crank that looked more or less the part. It's still the goal, though I've pretty much forgotten about it.

Shhhhh.... I'm having a hard enough time finding one.

But seriously, as pretty as Albert's bikes are, they ride even better than they look.

An easier option is a Victory or Triomphe...they had a 116 BCD and smaller rings for them do exist.

1993 Custom Co-Motion tandem; fillet brazed by owner Dwan Shepherd.
Custom airbrushed desert scene on the boob tube; chromed rear triangle and fork.
Put 56,000 miles on that tandem.

It survived several race crashes way back in the early days. Could use fresh paint some day being 30+ years old.
