St. Louis bypass on Mississippi River Trail
I will be riding south on the MRT and would prefer to not go thru St. Louis, no reason other than I don't get much pleasure from riding in cities. Has anyone used a route you like to go around and re-connect with the MRT on the south side? Or, what are your thoughts about the direct route thru the city? Thanks.

Try using this route and you'll be on the Illinois side but beware of East St. Louis, better to go thru there on an early Sunday morning imo. If you don't mind going a little out of your way to avoid that area, Madison county and neighboring counties have an immense bike trail network. Have a great ride.
