Vulgarity in Acronyms Allowed?

The rules on vulgarity as currently posted are below. A post was allowed (pmed to a mod and acknowledged recipe) that not only uses "masking" but uses a vulgar acronym. I noticed that vulgar acronyms are not mentioned in the rules so I figured I should ask about it before I try to repeat what was allowed by a mod.

Can I use an acronym that in most context is seen as vulgar but claim it means something else such as: Go find yourself; eat at Denny's; or same mediocre day?

Vulgarity

As a community with a diverse variety of members and readers, we ask that our members to post without using vulgarity. Vulgarity not only includes vulgar language and pictures but also sexist, racist, anti-religious, images of graphic violence, political statements and ****phobic language which may offend other members. In addition, the "masking" of vulgarity by inserting * or another keystroke in place of one or more letters in a vulgar term is unacceptable in most cases. It will also be impermissible to anagramize a word to bypass the filters. This applies to all content submitted by users including posts, PMs, avatars and signatures.

I used ****, actually an initialism (an abbreviation consisting of initial letters pronounced separately). Not even pronounceable, much less vulgar.

PS: I did type in the original letters, as I did in the post in which I used them.

Are you asking how you can get away with breaking the forum rules?

The answer to your question is right there in the rules. But if that's not clear enough for you: IT'S NOT OKAY. You shouldn't even need to ask.

So technically SNAFU is a violation of the rules? Sad.

The F can be fouled, and I see you were not sanctioned.

IBanna informed us that Mr. Peabody has been vindicated.

Further, snafu has transcended it's WW2 acronym origins to become an actual word.

snaˇfu \ sna-ˈfü , ˈsna-ˌfü\Definition of snafu: a situation marked by errors or confusion

OK, so SNAFU passes the sniff test.

How about that Britney Spears classic, "If You Seek Amy?" It caused quite a commotion on the radio back when it came out. Seems pretty tame to me but some people are very sensitive.

FYA, see this WWII video of Martha Ray, Carol Landis, and Mitzi Mayfair singing ”SNAFU Song for the Troops,” coyly asking “SNAFU…What is the meaning of SNAFU?”
