Vintage De Rosa Road Bike?

Hello Bike Forum,

Newbie here. Own a converted single speed De Rosa road bike. Don't know much about bikes. Approximate value?

Details:

De Rosa frame (24") and fork, Campagnolo brakes, Converted to single speed (mistral by ofmega crank), Regal Girardi seat, Omega (front) Campagnolo (rea) rims.

Bike is in good condition. Basic wear and tear over the years.

Thanks for your insight!

Assuming that the frame is damage and defect free and the paint is above average for a high-end bike of this vintage, It should be worth $600 (if you're a skilled and patient seller). The brakes are very valuable. I purchased a similar 1986ish De Rosa Professional for less than $400, but that was an unusual bargain.

Delta brake calipers alone fetch upwards of $200-350 average on eBay, this takes into account actual sales the last 6 months with verifiable pricing. Enough money there that dropping a lesser set of Campy period-correct brakes could still net you a $400-500 sale with the different calipers, even as a fixie if you're patient, which could get you into the $700 net range total.

Quick sale, if you leave the Deltas on, I think Barretscv nailed it. List for $650. Expect to barter. Take 580-600 and walk away smiling, assuming no major defects ... like bent fork, bent or dented tubes, rust at lug joins, bent, cracked or rusted cable guides, cracked lugs, misshapen seat lug ears, stuck stem, stuck seat post, any of the other general crap we loathe to find on used vintage bikes.

PS: Can't tell from the pic if the fork is original?

Those appear to be Croce d'Aune brakes, as opposed to Record. Also, it looks like the frame has had the shift lever bosses and front derailleur braze-on removed. Consequently, I wouldn't be anywhere near the suggested prices and wouldn't even bother with an offer.

Removing the bosses and front der hanger was a cardinal sin on such a nice frame, like drowning a puppy in a bucket

Thanks for the info everyone. I know very little about bikes and was curious what its worth since it's been basically sitting inside my apartment since I was gifted it about a year ago.
Little history I know: It's has been converted to single speed at least since the mid 2000s when my friend acquired it. It's also been maintained throughout his ownership over the years and stored inside.

Cheers

How were you able to post pics with only 3 posts? I thought 10 was the requirement.
