Anouther question for Physicists, will the Coriolis effect, affect my track times?
Should we ride clockwise or counter-clockwise around the track?

Coriolis force may have a calculable effect on the effort needed to turn and steer the bike, but I can't see it actually affecting overall resistance to forward motion in a measurable amount (at least on a net basis, over a full circuit).
Now if the track were actually a funnel leading inexorably downward, I suspect there would be a difference.

In Oz at one time they raced around the velodrome clockwise, so I have been told.
Not very good when one traveled elsewhere.
Ever tried riding a velodrome that way, very strange.
Worse than driving in UK, or Japan and you are programmed for the other way.

Your wheels are connected to the solid surface of earth so no effect. If you were to use a hoverboard to do all your laps thenn possibly. It only has an effect on bodies in otion not attached to solid earth.... and ... clockwise if North of the Equator
