I dont like it for me. I couldnt care less if someone else rides an ebike as long as is done safely and responsibly...which is about what my standard is for pedal bikes too.
If it gets someone out riding who otherwise wouldnt ride, then great. If it allows someone to continue riding past when they would otherwise have to stop due to age/degradation, then great. If it allows someone to explore further and experience more, then great.
It isnt for me though.
On any given gravel ride, I will see 0-4 other cyclists. If they want to use 220w of motor to get up hills then whatever, it doesnt affect me. Its akin to being out on a scooter for the day- some people like that.
I only get annoyed when ebikes are ridden dangerously(too fast on a crowded MUP), which is also the only time I get annoyed with pedal bikes.

The new topstone lefty pretty much fixes all the annoyances I had with my Slate.
1. Sizing was hot garbage in the larger sizes because they had to accommodate 2 sizes with 1 size oliver
2. Dual crown and headshock 1.5" throughout headtube
3. A lot of cash for an aluminum bike even though it was their top of the line aluminum
4. Post mount fork with a flat mount frame
The Carbon Lefty Ocho was crazy light and stiff already in 100mm config and the new Scalpel in XC race mode is crazy light so I don't doubt you can put together a Topstone with all this at sub 18lbs.

Why would you be sad if an Ebike can help someone less fortunate healthwise than yourself?

because electric is quieter than a 2 stroke! and Maybe just as much fun?
some people do roller blades, some do electric razor type scooters, and some do electric bicycles, and some do motorcycles, while other people do quads. then there is the kayak, canoe, vs stand up paddle boards.
Bottom line there is a market/demand for Electric bikes, and if a bike manufacture/company can make a product and compete in that market. Good for them!!!
The electric argument is no different then the rim brake vs disc brake. Look if you don't like something, don't buy it.
I mean they make female hygene products, I don't need them or want them, but I aint crying/complaining about them being sold.

I am going to buy an electric bike, but since they make you sad, you can't ride it. (but that's okay, no one rides my bikes but me anyways)
