Poseidon X Rear Derailleur Hanger
I am trying to locate a spare rear derailleur hanger for my 2019 Poseidon X gravel bike. I have contacted Luis at Poseidon Bikes but that has proven to be a dead end. Does anyone know what bike make/model this rear derailleur was originally used on?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Post a picture of both sides so we can see what you have on there now. Some are pretty common, some are impossible to find.

I am unable to post a photo (at least right away) until after I have made 10 posts. Ugh.

I heard back from WheelsMFG and they were unable to match up a replacement.
I know that Poseidon did not design their own rear derailleur hanger, so it's just a matter of searching until I can find a match.

Also, I have exhausted trying to purchase a replacement direct from Poseidon. That seems to be a dead end.

I'm sure the derailleur hanger is a common one, but there are so many out there to choose from.

Is there a number stamped on the hanger. Some do. Also some that are meant to fit may need some modifications. I have a Performance bike mountain bike frame I got to replace a broken Diamondback. I tend to pick up sticks and break hangers. The wheel manufacturer version has the proper thickness but I had to grind down the tip where it interferes with the frame. Another brand fit but was thicker and did not fit right.

So, apparently, I can only make 5 posts in a 24 hours period. Makes this whole process very difficult.

Good idea. I will take the rear derailleur off this morning and have a look. I'll also post a picture (after I've met my 10 post minimum requirement and before I exceed my 5 posts in a 24 hour period limitation - ugh.).

I will post a photo later this morning. Thanks for the reply. I have contacted Poseidon directly, and exchanged about a dozen or more emails with Luis, the owned, but they were all about him trying to find my original order number and how I paid. By the time he got around to addressing my need for a replacement hanger, he lost interest. Ugh.

If your wheelset supports it, they make a derailleur hanger conversion kit to change your rear dropouts on both sides to through axle from QR.

We just closed the shop so I cannot look right now. I am not sure if we have that one but will check ASAP. That one does not look familiar though. If yours is bent and not broken it can often be straightened. Most shops have an aignment tool that can be used to bend it back straight. You can bend that type back maybe a couple of times but after that it gets noodly and has to be replaced.

I checked today and unfortunately we do not have your hanger in our shop assortment. We have most of the common ones (about 30 or so) so yours might be hard to find.

Yes, I looked there. Thanks for the idea.
Poseidon bikes used another design that I am sure is available, but unfortunately I cannot get them to tell me what compatible brand they used for their design. If I knew that, I could locate a spare hanger. Ugh.

Hi, did you ever manage to find the qr hanger for your bike?
I’m from the UK and have a CALIBRE Line 20 (2020 model). It has EXACTLY the same qr hanger but I’m also having a nightmare trying to find a replacement!
Calibre and their owner, Go Outdoors are being next to useless and I can’t get a replacement anywhere. Have tried Betd and other mech sites but still no joy.

No, I never was able to find a match. Poseidon was exactly no help at all. Louis emailed and said he had them in stock, but since they were not on Poseidon's web site where I could purchase them myself, I had to rely on Louis to respond and send me the hanger. After half a dozen unsuccessful attempts to get him to let me know price, etc, (with no response), I gave up.
That's good information know about the Calibre Line 20 hanger match. If you ever source one, please let me know so I can get one as well.
While on a long ride in Florida in February, I had a crash and bent the rear derailleur, but thankfully not the hanger. I would have been out of luck.
Good luck in your search.
