Oh WOW!!!
Cooper CX Disc!!!
Wound up fork!!!
And S&S Couplers!!!
Well done!
This is another setup on my very short CX-frame-to-buy list. IMO, this would be the perfect setup for me. I really need those couplers, but they're pretty $$$. When you get it all together, please report back on the ride.

Nice!!! Hey Tom, I am debating whether to get the same exact setup or forgo the S&S. I have an S&S Dean Ti already but don't really travel with it all that much. I've done 2 trips to Hawaii and 1 to Colorado in the two years that I've had it. Oh, I did bring it to Germany with me instead of having the moving company ship it with the rest of my bikes.
I doubt that I would travel with the Cooper all that much either but it is still a convenience I want but won't necessarily need./use often.
Do you race CX? Plan on traveling to CX events across the country or is it primarily for bike vacations?? Please let us know how you like the frame and the couplers (e.g. does the TT coupler get in the way of the TT routed cables?) Thanks. OH! AND MORE PICS!!!!

I have an Ultegra triple group for the drivetrain. ******'s building the wheels. BB7SL disc brakes. I'm still shopping for bars & stem. More pix to come as the build progresses

Was away for a wedding this weekend, and I came home to a big box of stuff!
My brakes are waiting at work and another box is to be delivered today, so up on the stand to start hanging things and for more pix while I wait...

Hey Tom,
Is that a M/L? Man, I am soooo wanting this exact set-up!!! I'm thinking a gold Chris King headset would look really nice with the headbadge. I hope to be ordering one before the year is up.

Yeah, it's M/L. I was also thinking about getting a King headset, but I couldn't decide on a color plus it was too hard to pass up the Cane Creek 110 for $90.
UPS never delivered, so all I got today were the brakes.

Nice. I'm jealous that you're getting parts in. I've been waiting almost a month for delivery of my components.

It's all coming together now.. Today I brought home my bars & stem as well as some fresh rubber. I also dug out my old favorite saddle.
Tomorrow I will have my shop cable everything up and wrap the bars so I can get my first ride in tomorrow night. Barring any changes for comfort or whatnot, the final build list is:
Ultegra 6700 shifters, triple crank, dérailleurs, 12-23 cassette
Avid BB-7SL disc brakes
3T Ergosum handlebar
3T ARX stem
Syntace P6 HiFlex seatpost
Specialized Avatar Gel saddle (the older, superior style)
Current wheels are just a cheap-o set of 29ers I picked up for a song while I wait for wheels to [FINALLY!!] get here..
Continental CycloXKing tires

Is that a splittable disc cross frame?!
[edit] oops, somehow I only saw the first post before, now I see the rest of the discussion. Sweet bike! I rode a friend's Ritchey Breakaway, curious to hear about how the S&Ses perform.

Nice. Ti is a great choice for an S&S coupler bike.
I'm wondering though if the disc wheels are going to create packing issues in the S%S case?
