Not vintage, and not particularly smart... but cute.

What are you getting for your sweetie? I made a small coin and card purse for my wife. She likes to leave her regular purse in the hotel room safe when overseas, and just carry some folding money, coins and a few C cards. About 5 inches long. With the edge piping and thin, soft leather, this was harder to make than some of the saddle bags I've made.

Very classy!

....and wise for the savvy traveler.

My wife never brings her purse when we are traveling abroad.

She makes me carry stuff and she tells me that's why she brought me along.

Her last few gifts have been bike related...our anniversary present was her Pinkasonic, Hanuka was the Jen Green head badge. V-day is going to be more conventional...we're going to a fancy French restaurant and I had her favorite insanely expensive chocolates shipped on dry ice from Indiana.

The last time I brought my wife to the airport, I carried her bags to the ticketing counter and the agent asked me: "are you travelling as well?" I said no, that I was just carrying the bags. The agent said: "So, you're the mule?" I laughed and said yes... then I thought about it later.

Never admit to being a "mule" around Homeland Security. I'm thankful for NOT getting selected for a cavity search.
