Crappy end to August as I've been down with a nasty cold for a few days and have done nothing but sit on the touch and watch movies between coughing and sneezing fits. Looking forward to a better September, even if I still feel too bad to ride today...

8/1 10.75
8/2 10.8
8/4 10.91
8/5 10.79
8/6 6.29 the ride where the burnout cemented itself in my soul...
8/11 10.2 Sunday ride on the Loveland trail, no burnout applies, though we rode shorter than usual due to my companions.
8/14 10.29 School back in session, local roads wonderfully free of kids and cars
8/18 11.71
8/20 8.28
8/21 10.27
8/24 10.278/27 10.348/28 10.33

August to date 131.23
Year to date 1199.33__________________

Goal: 400 miles
Miles TD: 360
Rides: 14
Elevation (ft): 18,275

Had a good month considering I was out of town for about 17 days. Gearing up for cross season, so more short rides with interval training.

8/17 - 32.97 - had to take sometime off to heal from the crash in July. Shoulder is still sore but at least I am on the bike again.
8/18 - 8.08 - short ride with cousin who is impressed with the weight loss and decided to go for a ride. Inspired me to try our velodrome on stock night.
08/19 - 7.39 - first time riding on the velodrome for stock night and it was amazing. 3 things accomplished - 1 - did not crash, 2 - did not cause a crash, 3 - finished each of the two races. The regulars out there were really amazing and helpful. the only regret is I should have done it earlier in the season. My wife told me in May that I should ride there as she felt it was safer than on the roads.
8/24 - 33.20 - Great ride with the group and then broke off to hit the track for a few miles. Sprinting is a lot rougher than I thought. The good news is I can train in the winter to become a better sprinter, IF i could give up the cigarettes, I might be pretty good. LOL. I should reach my monthly GOAL and promise to get back on track next month and triple my August output.
08/27 - 14.72 - Night ride on a trike!!! Awesome and a pretty good workout!!
08/31 - 44.30 - GREAT way to close out the month!! Was able to hit my monthly Goal!!!

Goal - 100
MTD - 140.66
YTD - 1664.16
