Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Today is finally Rapha Day!

Actually, both today and tomorrow are Rapha Day - I got impatient and placed another order yesterday. I hope that my sizing expectations weren't off, but I guess we'll see. Out of the three things that I ordered, two have the next larger size available. If the pink winter jacket doesn't fit, I'm SOL on that one, though.

The breakfast burrito at the Whole Foods near my office packs a whopping 1,300 calories.

Yeah, but all the fat counteracts the carbs and makes you thin.

Do you need a cargo bike to haul that pig?

I'm guessing it's only 650 calories at Half Foods.

Thank you. I'll be here all week.

How much does it cost? I need to put it in the bang-for-buck spreadsheet.

Not.

Look closely. The valve stems would be halfway between the spokes. So not. Must be valveless. FUTURE!

I didn't buy one. I'm not THAT stupid. And I didn't notice the price. It was part of the hot bar, so maybe they charge by weight--of the burrito, not the consumer.

Clothing has arrived. I like it. The sweater is nice and with this jacket, no driver will ever be able to say, "...but I didn't see him!" Photos do not do justice to the eye-searing quality of this color.

New stuff day is fun.

Buying team goodies is awesome, because you never know when it's going to hit. The surprise is real.

At the very beginning of my tour, this past May, I bought an iced coffee from Starbucks. I was shocked. Shocked! to find that it was sweetened. It was undrinkable. Iced coffee used to be just coffee with ice in it.
