v-brake boss position

Just came across this shimano doc posted here by duanedr about year ago, how many angle the bosses as shown below, does it make any difference? I've never seen these images and my brakes seem to work fine. It looks like the bosses should be angled down and out, right? Or are those values acceptable limits to be within?

thanks, Brian

The angles reflect Shimano's brakes' range of adjustability, spring tension and toe in/out. Since most all the rest of the industry will mimic Shimano's specs to a great degree these are pretty good guidelines. But I find that the "E" angle is pretty easy to get real close to parallel to the other boss and "0*". I do like a stiffer spring/lever pull effort so my frames strive for the spring holes to be slightly below the line between the bosses centers. Andy

took me a while to understand that picture, but if all the angles are zero it meets the spec. They are not suggesting the bosses be angled, they are giving limits to how bad they can be.

I might live with the bosses if they are clocked a little (C and D), but they have to be parallel to the wheel. They don't show a dimension for perpendicularity from the stay/fork blade, is there another figure?
