Braze on disc mounts
Hello,
I'm currently bringing a Pashley trials bike back to life and wanted to fit some discs.
The frame is built from Reynolds 853 and 725 tubing.
Do the mounts need to be a specific grade of steel? I have some 6.35mm-1/4" mild (I guess) steel flat bar that I could cut them from...
I also intend to add a strut between the stays for extra strength.
Any advice on this would be much appreciated!
Many thanks in advance
Ben

1/4" mild steel would work fine, but its so much easier to just buy one made from 1018. https://www.paragonmachineworks.com/...1-4-hi-lo.html

Thank you, both!
I'll try to remember to take some pic's as I go.
No doubt, I'll have some more questions at some point!
Cheers
