Crappa r Not

In the same theme as 41's Hot r Not we'll have our own thread and the rules are simple. The bike must be your crappiest, and regularly ridden.
Points to be observed are:
Mismatched bits
Used / parts bin components
Distasteful colour / colours
Any type of bike eg. Road, MTB, BMX...anything.

I'll start off. This is my 1998 Gary Fisher Aquila

Please note...Painted by me using green candy paint from a plastic model shop. Hand-made Gary Fisher stickers. Front wheel Mavic, back shimano deore. The only thing I HAD to buy new was the cheapest brakes I could find. Everything else is used.

While not an outstanding piece of bike porn, I really don't think that is a crappy bike at all

this one works for me often, I have a dual setup for this, 29er smallblock 8s on one set of wheels and some 700cx42s on another set.

Since I got back to work I can now access my Crappa! I got this Motobecane Jubilee off Bikes Direct's scratch and dent site Bike Island pretty cheap little over a year ago. I've upgraded the twist shifter to the Alfine trigger. Just added the Origin8 quill stem adapter and added the stem that came off my dismantled 4300. I also have my Origin8 (B17 copy) saddle from my Tempo that I'm just trying to break in. I like having the squishy seatpost esp with this saddle on.

Great looking crappa. I think we have the same tyres on our crappas. The very heavy crappa maxis high rollers?

I did mention in my initial post any type of bike. I was just trying to brighten up the hybrid thread a little. I was a bit bored with the which bike giant escape, trek ds, etc threads

Sorry, I did not know the definition of a Hybrid included the fact that tires must be smaller than 35mm if 700c.
Here it is with the requisite 35mms
I have 3 wheelsets, 700x35, 700cx42 and 700c/29erx2.1 and an extra set of tires 700cx38

Me neither. This means the Cannondale I own which I thought fell into the hybrid category may not be. The widest recommended for it according to Cannondale is 28mm but I can JUST fit 32mm within the frame. Currently it's got 23mm.

Love riding in the rain. Have you had any problems with typhoons lately. We had one hit last night.

Haha. Don't forget the "I have a hybrid and I like it, but I want drop bars now!" threads.

I have a feeling that most here are laid back enough where it would really take something for us to call out a bike as crappy!

We need a "dropbar conversion disaster thread"
