What are my options for cameras that aren't GoPro or GoPro clones?

I have a GoPro Black 7 that gathers dust because the battery seems to last 45 minutes. I need something more of a no-brainer that charges on my bike using a USB cable and will last 8 hours. Bonus if I have way to quick mount it from one bike to another.

I'm aware of the Cycliq but $800+ (Canadian) for front and rear cameras isn't going to cut it. Any decent budget options out there?

I have this one: https://www.factorydirect.ca/ion-air...n-camera-wwifi

But unfortunately they are completely out of stock. It's a good enough camera for the price. You might be able to find it used, or new somewhere else. For under $100, you get 2.5 hours of battery life, and I believe it could be charged on the fly, though I've never done it as my commute is only about an hour. Image quality is decent. The only thing is that in the winter at -10, battery life shortens considerably.

I also have a Ion Air Pro 2 and got the last one from Amazon Canada Prime at a good price ($145 CND). Now they're over $382 CND. An somewhat (I haven't tried it so doesn't know for sure) equivalent is the Contour ROAM2.

My wife bought me a $100 Go Pro clone, and though it won’t run 8 hours, it did come with two more batteries.

What’s your ideal product? Something you can just leave on the bike like a dynamo light and only upload in the event something happens?

I'd like to leave it on the bike and plug into USB charger when I park it in the garage. I'd like it to loop automatically and capture "good enough" video". I need front and rear and ideally under CAD$400 for the combo.

I might just bite the bullet and pay the $800 for the Cycliq after nearly getting hit two days ago.

If you decide on the Cycliq route I just got this $100 off promo from them in my email.
I've had the first version of Fly6 since right after it came out, it's finally starting to fail and I've hated the GoPro I have on front because battery life sucks so I just ordered the Fly6/12 set a couple days ago.

For the month of September, send us a snap of you on/with/near your bike and we’ll give you $100USD off a brand new Cycliq light and camera safety system.
Simply:
1. Take a selfie on your bike.
2. Send it to us on the website.
3. Receive your exclusive discount code within 24 hours.
4. Apply to check out.

Contour went out of business and was purchased by Ion, but Ion doesn't look like they're still producing these cameras either.

I have two Contours and I really like the replaceable battery feature - each battery is good for about 90 minutes and my SD card is good for about 6 hours of HD, so I can pretty much record any ride.
It doesn't have the loop recording feature like commuters might want though.

I got a Fly6 for free and I use it but I don't think I'd buy one for myself.
