Mac Apps for trip recording

I would like to transfer my data from my Garmin Colorado 300 GPS and Vivoactive to my desktop Mac to see my stats and compare to my prior performance. I do not have or want a phone.

I use Garmin Connect now for transferring but for some reason it does not like my Drive 50 or my Colorado 300. Both devices work perfectly and d/l to my PC so I am assume it is the Garmin Connect that is the problem.

Strava seems to not like Apple desktops, so it is out.

Any suggestions?

A couple of years ago I switched from Garmin to Wahoo simply because the Garmin SW didn't work properly on my Mac. Garmin admitted there was an issue but offered no promise of a fix.

I use Rubitrack to store and review all my tracks. It claims to support a bunch of devices, but I can't confirm that it'll work with yours (I log my rides on my iPhone and import track files that I e-mail to myself). I believe you can demo it.

Of course, if you're sold on Garmin, and they do offer some excellent hardware, run a VM on your Mac. I do on mine for a few packages with no issues. Sure, I'd prefer native SW, but, well, you know...

Shoot, I just remembered that you do not have and do not want a phone. That rules out Wahoo.

I have a new PC for a few applications and the Garmins work consistently on them, but I prefer to work with the Mac. The Garmin stuff works sometimes on the Mac and the Garmin guy I talked to implied it was the Mac which was the problem..... Hmmmmm I think it is the Garmin s/w

Before I gave up on Garmin, I loaded their SW on a perfectly clean laptop. Just the OS, freshly installed. Guess what?

Mac is the problem? My a$$.

You don't need Garmin software.

You can just copy the activity files and use any software you like.

Funnily enough the Vivoactive works 100%. It has a Garmin 4 pin connector.
