Krystal racer

I just purchased an old Krystal Racer road bike from CL with plans to convert it to a single speed. So far, I have been unable to find any information on the bike or the manufacturer at all online. If anyone knows anything about these bikes or this manufacturer, your information would be greatly appreciated. I think it is Japanese, but I don't know for sure. Thanks!

A picture is worth a thousand wild guesses, here. And numerous close-up pictures of all the major components and identifying labels will likely give someone here the key clue to the info you're looking for.

Be advised that in the 1970s-1980s there were hundreds of house-brand bikes that had short, regional runs of production, manufactured in Asia to the specs and labeling of any retailer who wanted their own bike brand.

i bought a made in japan '76 krystal professional far too big for me with a bent fork for its components that included suzue high-flange hubs, suntour cyclone derailleurs, suntour barcons, sr rando bars, a tagaki double crank and a decent saddle. most of that stuff found its way onto my '80 grand jubilé.

gave $60 for it, and as i was walking away, the punk seller chuckled to his friend that i had just paid good money for a pile of ****.

the krystal was hi-ten steel and had suntour gs rear drops. even with no head tube damage, i couldn't give away the frame, so it found its way curbside.

here's my g.jubilé wearing the crank and gearing. i later built up the suzue hubset and put that on the jubilé too.
