Yep. If it wasn't clear, I think the new study makes sense. Our pre-historic ancestors weren't carefully dividing their protein intake into small meals throughout the day, our bodies had to be able to make use of whatever we could eat, when we could get it.

I usually don't like to mix the 2. I even frequently rest in between sets, just to make sure that I'm doing the movements with proper form, etc. They feel difficult during and immediately afterwards, but I don't end up with soreness/excess fatigue from them.

This time of the year, I'm doing frequent short XC MTB races, so it's a bit of a balancing act with getting the strength sessions in. I'll have back-to-back XC races this weekend. These aren't really "A" events for me, but I like to go into them fresh enough to at least turn them into proper "intensity" days.
