8 speed cassette on an 8,9,10, 11 speed hub. Spacer needed?

8 speed cassette on an 8,9,10, 11 speed hub. Spacer needed?
I looked in the search and did not really find the answer to this question. I have an 8 speed setup, and I just purchased a set of Vuelta superlites that have an 8-11 speed free hub. The wheels came with a spacer, but I'm not sure if I need to used it for my 8 speed cassette. Any thoughts? Thanks so much in advance and sorry for the newby question.

8 and 9 speed need 1.85mm spacer on an 11 speed hub.
10 speed is actually narrower than 9 speed and requires the 1.85mm spacer plus an additional 1mm spacer (which is included with the caseette).

If that's what was provided with 11 speed rear wheel/hub; 99% chance it's the correct ~1.85mm. The 1mm spacers (for 10-speed) come with Shimano cassettes.

Well looking at the packet that the spacer came in, it stated on a small card that the spacer is used for 8, 9, and 10 speed cassettes. No spacer needed for 11 speed. I am using an 8 speed SRAM cassette. Any ideas? Am I good?

I just put on a Sram 8s speed cassette to an 11s hub body and didn't know that required spacers could be different for Shimano and Sram cassettes. I initially put on a 1.8mm spacer but it didn't leave many threads for the lockring. So I used a 1mm spacer. Learn something new every day.
