Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Thank you. I had thought about making some changes to it for the upcoming season but decided I like it just the way it is. I have switched to Ksyrium SL wheels, but other than that it staying like it is for another year.

+1 I really like the red accents. I don't think these bikes are too common in the US.

Hi,

White:

Mostly white:

I actually don't like white bikes very much. They are too hard to keep clean and are too hard to clean without smearing dirt all over it.

Here's mine:

2011 Specialized Allez Comp E5 frameset (61cm) with a mutt drivetrain...
Ultegra 6600 brifters
Deda RHM01 bars
Ultegra 6600 brakes
Force FD
DA 7800 RD
FSA Gossamer compact crankset (50/34)
Wheels: Ultegra hubs, Open Pro CD rims
Tires: Conti Gatorskin 700x25

And yes, those are fenders - Crud Roadracer MKIIs. This is my bad weather bike. It's so nice to ride when the roads are wet and have a dry back, and to not have to wipe the grit off your bottles before you take a drink.

I usually have a 12-27 cassette on this bike, but I switched it to a Tiagra 4600 12-30 in preparation for Rouge-Roubaix. The short cage DA 7800 kinda-sorta-barely works in the 34-30 combination and has zero chain tension in the 34-12, so I'm ordering a Tiagra 4600 RD to replace it. I'd rather be a Fred with a chain that stays on than a Kewl Dood pulling an Andy Schleck. I'll see how well it works in general before I decide whether to stay with the Tiagra or go back to the DA with the 12-27.
