Today I got my first set of quality calipers.
Spend a bit more and get a protective case, an extra battery, a signed factory cert... and wow, do they feel nice and work well.
These here are, uh, relegated to emergency backup duty.
Just couldn’t read ‘em anymore!

I purchased this Resilion rear hub from ebay seller ben-sanford. It looks like it's in good shape, although the axle nuts are not correct (but I knew that before I bid). Now where to find a vintage looking 40h rim?

2 pack of 25mm Continental Sprinter tubulars. My first foray into that width. And a couple of Vittoria Rubino Pro Graphene 2.0 clinchers

I found them at Math Salden's. And no, they are not foldable and also quite different. First impression is they look and feel not unlike the wire bead Paselas.
I have the foldable Strada Biancas on a couple of bikes and like them very much, but they are much more expensive, so I'm looking forward to comparing these, especially since they are also available in 27 x 622.

They almost fit
My last pair of xxl gloves bit the dust. Found them on weight lifting equipment. Found these xxxxxl’s the same way. Nothing between 2x and these 5x’s. The almost fit part is gloves are measured around the knuckles where I’m a 4xl. My hands and fingers are long as well. Especially the’L’ from thumb to forefinger. That’s where the almost comes in.

Not really in the post but picked up by my dad who was pretending to be the delivery guy for me today. Stumbled across an ad for an 8 spd Campagnolo groupset and couldn't pass it up. The visions for my Colnago Super have changed a little with this now. Included brifters, brakes, seat post, cassette, hubs, skewers and crankset. Will need to get the cable stops for the down tube.

Quite an impulsive buy — 1980 Trek 710
I'm not sure if I know enough to make buying a frame and fork online a good idea, but after looking everything over I think it checks out. This will be a very slow project as I'm still finishing my 85 Voyageur SP. I've been looking for a 650b candidate, and there's plenty of inspiration for this one.

Someone posted a picture of a bike with a double water bottle mount in the “What have you been wrenching on lately?” thread. I ordered one and it arrived undamaged. It was only shipped inside a plastic shipping bag. I may order more for my vintage bikes that only have 1 set of cage mounts in the frame.

Thanks to @obrentharris I got a heads up on my quest for the orange Conti's for my Bianchi Crono TT.
2 NOS Conti's in orange....Check, Celeste tape check.... It is well on its way to completion. I hope to install the tape and the tire If I have time over the weekend.
Almost impossible 2 supple NOS Conti's.
Best, Ben

I even thought about having the Strawberry built to accommodate two of them but no.

ascherer,
There is something quite special about the aesthetics of these cranks.....business-like but beautiful.
Best, Ben

This is not entirely vintage but it is classic and retains some vintage features like a threaded fork. Serotta Legend Ti in my size. Coco saw me playing with my toy so brought hers to join me.
Now I need a titanium frame pump for the matchy matchy.

Didn't come in the post(apologies if I'm trespassing here). I traveled a bit for this. Spare parts that were included with a bike that I bought.
