The flaws in the movie were mainly to make the movie more appealing to the masses. Much like the flaws in "Lone Survivor"

they could fix every bike related flaw in that movie and it would still be a contrived piece of garbage

IMDB gave it a 6.5, I would hardly call it garbage. We just criticize it more because we are bike enthusiast. They can change every flaw in Fast and Furious as far as I am concerned

Every movie is contrived, some more than others.

I liked it for giving me an entertaining education of what fixies were like and riding them. Oh and an interesting use of a phone book when offing someone.

Hey, I seen it once when it was first released. I'm ready to watch it again. Good times.

I really don't care about any flaws. In my opinion, all fictional movies have plenty of 'em. All that **** is made up.

I've never seen any of the FAF movies, but laughed when I seen a car (Dodge Charger?) smoking the rear tires and doing a wheelie in one of the trailers for the movie.

Silly as it is, I'm sure the action was exciting nonetheless.

All movies have flaws, some more than others... it's the reason they're called "movies" and appeal to the larger masses. If not, they'd be documentaries and nowhere near as entertaining and only for the select few Horses for courses.

Just finished watching the movie. Great entertainment! Flaws or not, I seriously need to learn how to 1. lock the rear wheel in case I need to and 2. trackstand and 3. bunnyhops.

Pablo Picasso: "Art is the lie that reveals the truth."

Premium Rush is just as well written, acted and directed as most of the Hong Kong action genre that it is modeled after. I particularly liked how the plotlines were intercut, in relation to the "time bomb" device.

The movie has a few implausible details, but nothing nearly as absurd as:

- hobbits
- interstellar travel
- dude jumping off exploding helicopter with no parachute carrying sqrl and shooting grenade launcher
- etc.

...

Because moving pictures with a piano or organ accompaniment were more entertaining and available than live stage performances...

Although moving pictures had originated in the late 19th century, it wasn't until ~1914 that the term "movie" was coined. [there are various web sources that attribute this to a BBC commentator]

Going further back:

"In March 1889, a second caveat was filed, in which the proposed motion picture device was given a name, Kinetoscope, derived from the Greek roots kineto- ("movement") and scopos ("to view")."

Wikipedia - Kinetoscope

Hence kinematograph / cinematography / moving pictures

So first off this is my bike, yeah that movie made me interested in fixed gear. Second of all the ones talking about movies sound like a bunch of fat chicks fighting over the last gallon of ice cream. Stay on topic or discuss that stupid crap in off topic posts.

My friends and I got free tickets from Sony, so I won't complain about the movie. Let's talk about bikes. Running reds killing peds.

You mentioned the movie in yer post. Of course people are gonna talk about it. If you had never mentioned it, nobody would be talking about it here(maybe).

Sickz: That is the worst ever justification for that turd of a movie.
