I think I’m just tired of all black bikes even though I like them especially with small splashed of blue or others. I love both bikes especially due to their vibrant color schemes... but then again I now look like an Easter egg on wheels since most of my kits have color and now my bike does as well.

Robby: Below is the newest version of the Bandit, a Trek P1 creation for a one-handed rider and ready for pick-up in Wisconsin. Details to follow.
After observing that all of my kits are red-the color of the first Bandit before it lost a head butting contest with a Dodge Durango-my wife declared that every ride would be like a Christmas ride. I think we should find someone with a pumpkin and cranberry colored bike and go on a holiday tour
BTW: sorry to se your Domane go, but that Speedwagon is is beautiful piece of work.

I'm all in for a colorful bike parade, I'm going to embrace my differences! It was funny at the Tour De Palm Springs the other day I was having my saddle adjusted by Dr Vince (creator of Infinity Seat) and people kept coming over and asking about the bike, same thing when I was at the Assos trailer. Definitely a conversation piece. I was also sad to have to sell the Domane, but it went to a great guy who is riding it like crazy and who I ride with regularly so at least I still have visitation!
@TenSpeedV2, there's normally a rubber shim between the bar and the shifter that helps to hold it in place. I had it set up similarly on my Domane and while I had to ensure that the zip ties were quite tight it never moved much.

Sweet! Any chance you can post some more photos?
If you prefer, I found a thread dedicated to Allied Cycle Works; https://www.bikeforums.net/road-cycl...cle-works.html

I get so disappointed when I come to this thread and instead of photos I see debate, if you are going to debate at least include the original photo in your debate, so I can see a cool bike.

When a photo is attached, rather than embedded, it doesn't automatically show on subsequent quotes; don't blame the person quoting, blame the person attaching rather than embedding.

Taking it easy!
For you your bike makes up for the deficient size of your appendage so you've thrown cash at it - and you belittle those who haven't spent as much.
I've no such appendage concerns and I'm confident and very happy riding my Giant -Its a fantastic performing bike, weighs 7.5kg, cost a fraction of yours - bang for for Buck it's better - that's why it's special and is considered "HOT"
It's not just about the Brand.
It's all a good laugh!

You are bitter that your bike wasn't the hit you thought it was - so you feel better slagging others off - I get it

Enjoy it if it makes you happy.

Funny thing: I've probably gotten more compliments on my TCX - my least expensive geared bike, than I've received on any of my other bikes, which get their fair share of admiration.
All it has is a gorgeous color, nice proportions, intelligent assembly and a bit of smart graphics. Never understood why anyone would need to read the labels or recognize the manufacturers to determine whether a bike was hot or not.

Pretty much. Overall shape/proportions/set-up are highest on my list. Graphics/paint can move a bike up on my scale more than it can move it down. Brand/componentry level doesn't make or break, but can move the needle a bit.
