Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Full carbon vs Full Titan

Hi guys,

I've been looking for some frames lately on e-bay and the Ti and carbon frames both have particular properties but I would like to get some personnal opinions from some specific frame users.

Are the Ti frames for "old people" who need more confort that the smootness offered by the titanium or is it because it weights less. I personnaly, have no clue about it and would like to get some info.

Thanks everyone, Max.

Maxxer, this topic has been discussed a lot here. Do a search for "titanium carbon-fiber" and you'll find many posts on this very topic.

Just buy a good Reynolds 853 frame. It's stiffer than Ti or Carbon cost 1/3 as much and gives you a much better ride.
