Just a sad little footnote to this thread. I got a "great" deal yesterday, on a 1989 Cannondale SM400, in beautiful RED, and in the hard to find 22" size. I knew it was mistreated, it badly needed a repaint, but took a chance. After some cleaning, I discovered a nasty crack, near the BB shell and seat stays. 😩 Look before you leap comes to mind, a little too late this time. 🙄😉

Nothing like de rosa red.... only problem that color is the only one that my wife has ever noticed on a bike...and bike extension noticed the bike.... as in "when did you get that and do you really need it?"

Unknown model or year Bianchi that I've been building up. I have new old stock brake calipers that I'm replacing those Shimano Adamas AX ones with.

My $30.00 saved from the dump Miyata 710 that came with new tires with the cardboard tag still wrapped around them. Wheels have Shimano 105 hubs.

Cheers

No worries, its dark most of the time so....

Not sure exactly how it was done, ended up with this when I said "I want it darker the Sarinoni red", Black Magic supposedly used just the basecoat.

Cool thanks for telling me that. Primer or basecoat makes a big difference. I mixed a rich red primer under a red top coat on one bike and it looks neon out in the sun.
