Searching for a clicking noise
When I put a load on the right pedal, I get a clicking noise that sounds like it’s coming from the BB. It only happens with the right pedal, no clicking if not pedaling or pedaling without pushing down with a small amount of force. I have replaced the pedals, cleaned and lubed the chain and chainrings.
The clicking occurs in any gear and with either chainring.
I put a new BB cartridge in when I upgraded my vintage Peugeot about 500 miles ago. I took my crank arms off to make sure the BB was tight and it was okay. I can’t duplicate the clicking on the maintenance stand. Thoughts? Thanks for any help!

I made a YouTube video a while back on some of the most common and simple to fix noises bikes make. Generally, the bottom bracket gets blamed because it generally sounds like it's coming from that area, but you'd be surprised how often it's something really simple with no special tools required.

Could be the saddle. You can rule out the saddle if you can cause the clicking by pedaling out of the saddle.

If it's a square taper crankset then, tighten the crank arm bolts to "star torque" (tighten the damn bolts until you see stars). Then, check the chainring bolts. Tighten them to "spot torque". All that stuff down there has to be very tight. Even then, things like heat and humidity can make them creak. Be good. Have fun.

Could even be shoes or shoe/pedal interface. I once traced a click noise to the aglet of my shoelace hitting the downtube.
