Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Maybe in a color that doesn't scream "GIVE ME A TICKET!!!" I find my dark blue Challenger doesn't attract a lot of unwanted attention from the constabulary.

My ex had a Hyundai sub compact and even then it was obvious how much less respect other drivers give you. I had a Grand Wagoneer which had a 6 inch lift and big tires. She loved to drive it because drivers act so different than when you are in a small car.
You want to get Dangerfieldian levels of respect on the road? Drive a 2004 Honda Element, as I do.

My wife has a Mazda 3, which she drives, as one might say, ...assertively.

Oh, and my brother just texted me to say that some poor guy died of a brain tumor and his sister gave him his 2002 Lexus with 42,000 mi on it for free.

3) Make slight adjustments to the fit. Ride lots.
4) Replicate that fit for the next 23 years and 3 bicycles.

I dunno. When I was deciding what model and size of Canyon to order, I measured my 3 bikes carefully, and repeatedly, and then spent several evenings working out which would allow me to replicate that without having to go with a 140mm stem or a crapload of spacers, or a different seatpost.
I’ve never had a pro fit, need one.

The great advantage of driving one would be not having to see the outside of it while behind the wheel.

The problem with fit is it’s like religion. The basic premises may be the same, but the details and practices lead to differences, and what feels amazing to one person feels awful to another. And it’s impossible to prove who is “right.”

Yeah. You can find yourself being ridiculed for basing your saddle position on KOPS, even if you're comfortable for as far as your legs will keep spinning the pedals.

i have new knee issues I’m certain are fit related, it’s not a bike not fitting me issue as far as I can tell but related to switching from SPD-SL to Keo cleats with my Garmin pedals, can’t seem to get them right
