I highly recommend this. The Romans had it all, but they never had this. Or sushi.

doesn't have to be on a bridge. any hill will do.
doesn't have to be on a hill. flat land will do.
best is then stopping w/ feet on tires, not pedals.
pure class.

see also; feet propped up on handlebars during descent.

My favorite is feet back by the dropouts like you're riding a sport bike.

dude, it's so great.
you got your feet up there and all the squares going about their business stare at you and they're like, "WHAT is THAT GUY doing?" and you're just all like "**** society man!"

and then to stop you gotta shred it.

I recently did this stunt on a long ride and cracked my front fender from kicking it as i removed my feet from the pedals. Later on the cracked fender caught my tire and made me endo. Moral: the fixed gear gods want you to spin.

did it Sunday with feet stretched back behind me on the rack coming down Verrazano Narrows bridge. Only time I got up to speed in the entire 5 boro's tour. Tons of fun. Then I stood in line for 3.5 hours.

Dunno, I'll try and look it up later. It was a Spanish or Latin American guy some 2-4 years ago. His legs were fully exteded level with the ground... it was amazing, crazy and surreal.
It was in eurosport watts (not that this helps much, although it may be on their website... only it was ages ago).

Or just spin your legs fast enough to keep up with the pedals.

I specified bridge because it adds to the magic of the moment if you're lucky enough to be riding a bridge like This one.
It's also fair to assume you must go up one side in order to coast down the other. Mashing like hell to go up the bridge makes the descent that much better. I guess it's possible for you to coast down a bridge without going up the other side if you live on a bridge. If you live on a bridge, we need to hang out.
