Winter finally arrived
When the groundhogs predicted six more weeks of "winter", I thought "wow, six more weeks of fantastic weather".
Looks like it is getting cooler for us as well. Biked this week with full fingered gloves. The horror! Still using knee warmers and not tights.
And I wanted to finally get to the San Gabriel Mountains this weekend (besides Mt. Wilson/Redbox). GMR/GRR/39. I am just a wuss when it comes to "cold" and wind.

Count me out of anything for at least another week. Too cold and windy for me. Yes, I'm a wuss.
It looks like this wind is going to stay strong for the next week or so.

Finally?
Hasn't LA had snow in the 1940's, and again in 1962... That isn't enough?

WE had snow in Santa Crud a couple of days ago, and yesterday the rain was looking a bit chunky.

no. although still planning on hitting that ride on a mon/tues when the weather improves. weather was awesome for 9 weeks. wind in the mtns was intimidating tho. cold is neither here nor there. it's those damned headwinds/gusts along the route.

I'm visiting Northern California. The 70's high for A few weeks were very nice not so long ago.
I can take the rain, but not the cold anymore when riding.
Got a little snow/ice at about 1500 feet.Freezing.
I'm hoping for rain and higher temperatures.
Lived in the Bay Area when it snowed A few inches around 1976.
Getting older. And seeing some retirees head south,or at least snowbird for part of the winter.I kind of understand why now.Plus it is nice to travel.
