Valuation on Cranks

I'm planning on selling these Alex Pong\Magic Motorcycle prototype cranks and BB, but can't get much of an idea on value. What would a good, realistic price be for these?

Unfortunately this is one of those items where the value is going to be whatever one is willing to pay. Because they're low production, the chances are if you list it on that online auction site you might get a couple of bidders in a war - or they might sit forever. If there's a market, it'll be there.

List them with an opening bid of $100 and see where they go. Good luck - those are pretty cool-looking, and surely there is someone out there pining for a pair!

I think a $100 plus shipping seems reasonable starting pointalso figure $75 for the cranks and $25 for the BB which is about what good quality crank sets with matching BB in Nos condition seem to start at on Ebay. Hopefully they will do better but on these there just isn't enough info sales wise to know.

Definitely don't separate the bottom bracket from the crankset. I'm not sure of the bottom bracket standard. Not Shimano, not ISIS. There is a similar Cannondale Bottom Bracket, I think.

As far as the price, as above, it is hard to tell. One can be surprised by some cult classics.

One can do the E-Bay auction and let it go to where it takes one. But, that depends on buyers actually finding it at the right time.

Or, you could try setting the price at say $300 buy-it-now. But, expect to get quite a few watchers before getting an actual buyer. And, you need time and patience to sell.

Thanks for the feedback, and yes, the BB is proprietary.

This shouldn't be an issue since one can use a couple of 1 mm spacers to optimize fit on this type BB.
